Although there are some well-known advances in this field, many researchers are still working on developing better ways to provide autologous cells and tissues at a faster rate. One promising avenue is the use of micro-fabricated organoids which are made from living cells and then injected into a person to help him recover from a major surgery. Although much work has been done, there are still no cures for most forms of degenerative diseases and injuries including spinal cord injuries, heart attacks, strokes and arthritis.
